Just Once One man who walked the path of life, and had a wonderful and loving wife. He made a great big family, which included me. He watches over us, like an eagle high above. The one who helped us in everything, and gave us so much love. This is for him, the one who made life more interesting. Papang, Papang, why did you have to go, but I know, that Jesus wants you home. You were faithful, and never let us down. I even know, we will meet again somehow |
You were strong
in the hospital for a month. You waited and waited with hope in your heart. You dealt with many things before your body and soul part. When you left, it made us very woe, but we need to remember we’ll never let you go. This poem was dedicated to my grandpa who passed away when I was in fourth grade. I made this poem a year later when I was in fifth grade. |
I Walk Alone I walk alone. through the dark streets. I hear them coming. They are the darkness at the end of a street. I hide and I’m scared. I walk alone. I walk alone through the closed areas. I wanna be free. I wanna spread my wings and fly away. I walk alone. Patsy Takemoto Mink Poem Born December 6, 1927 lived and grew up on the Maui Island Won valedictorian at her high school Became the first female student body president & that was pretty cool. Group of Liberal Democrats wanted her to run for president Since she was a female Japanese-American, She was a little hesitant. Patsy was the second to the last in the Oregon May Primary Although she lost, only having two percent of votes She still wanted to fight for equality Patsy served in Congress for many more terms Although she died by pneumonia, Her legacy is left with so much to learn. |
I walk alone

The Wall
The wall blocks two Something you really want, but you feel hopeless, because there's nothing you can do. There are two sides of the wall A person on each. They want to break it down, Have each other in arm's reach. Piece by piece they do the work on each side until it all just falls apart. The Wall is shattered, Revealing two reunited hearts. This is a poem I wrote just for fun. I had the option of free choice as a journal prompt and decided to write a poem. |
